How to get from Marseille airport to the Vieux Port?

By public transport

Take *line 91 to Gare Saint Charles (30/40 min. journey), then take the metro to the Joliette stop (2 min. journey). Then take bus no. 35 T to the cruise port (Gate 4), "Terminal Croisières" stop. Allow about 1 hour.

How do I get to the Vieux-Port by public transport from the Gare Maritime?

By Metro: Line 2 (direction Sainte Marguerite/Dromel) change lines at Gare Saint-Charles station, then take Line 1 (direction la Fourragère) and stop at Vieux-Port station.

How do I get to the Vieux-Port by public transport from Gare St Charles?

1/ On foot:

Simply walk down the station's grand staircase to Place des Marseillaises. Then it's straight on! Walk down Boulevard d'Athènes, Boulevard Dugommier, and you're on La Canebière! Turn right and you'll reach the Vieux Port at the end! If you decide to go straight ahead, you'll reach the Cours Julien district via Boulevard Garibaldi.

2/ By metro

Stay inside the station and go down to the 2nd basement level to metro line 1, direction La Fourragère, Vieux Port stop. You can choose to exit at the bottom of the Canebière or directly onto the Vieux Port platform! You can find all the information you need about public transport in Marseille on the RTM website.

If you're arriving in Marseille by road, you'll probably take one of the three freeways that enter the city:

> The Autoroute Nord (A7) runs through the city's northern districts, ending near the Marseille-Saint Charles train station. This is the southern terminus of the major north-south motorway (linking Lille to Marseille via Paris and Lyon). The A7 freeway also links Marseille to Nîmes, Montpellier and Toulouse (via the A9 and A54) and Aix-en-Provence, Gap and Grenoble (via the A51).

>The Autoroute du Littoral (A55) from Martigues skirts the port area before crossing the Joliette district via the footbridge to the north-western end of the Vieux-Port.

> The Autoroute Est (A50) from Toulon crosses the eastern districts and ends at Menpenti.

The Prado-Carénage toll tunnel links the A50 and A55 freeways. Exits are possible at "Vieux-Port" and "la Major".

The L2 bypass, open since late 2018, links the A7 and A50 motorways.

We are at your disposal by phone, messaging and SMS 7 days a week.

Our charming apartment is on the sixth floor without an elevator, but rest assured, the floors are small, an excellent excuse to burn a few extra calories every day!

A terrace in this neighborhood is very rare and has to be earned!
